Our Story
Originally a taco truck in 1978, the La Puente location is now a cultural landmark in Los Angeles. When Gilberto and Maria Romero brought their Fish Taco recipe across the border, they not only Pioneered the Ensenada-Style Fish Taco but also permanently infused their Baja culture into Los Angeles.

This is the La Puente branch of Taco Nazo. It’s just off 605 highway and very convenient since it is counter service only. No fuss, you order and take a seat; they bring your plate to your table. Fish taco and Al pastor taco were extremely good. Fish was still warm and goes well either way the slivers of cold cabbage. ... Al pastor had the taste of chili oil cooked over the heat. This location is a bit small but service was quick so probably not too much wait except during peak times. Read More

I went in and didn't see what I needed for my dietary needs. I asked for exactly what I wanted and got exactly what I asked for. It might have been a dollar and change more, but worth it. A great dining experience for me. I was so happy, I took a picture of my meal. Since I'm not a culinary photographer I'm not going ... to post it. But I enjoyed it enough to want a photograph. Best fish tacos in Los Angeles. They are beyond delicious and the portions are generous. Fresh chili sauce to top tacos is so dang good. We come here frequently.

Heard good things about this place from friends at work. Decided to make the 45 minute drive to see for myself. Happy I did. The fish tacos were excellent and so we're the shrimp. I prefer the fish over the shrimp though. Got a large mixed ceviché and man it was packed. Delicious as well. Definitely worth a try!

Was out here at a job site looked up restaurant this was the 1st option not to mention the most reviews and the highest rating so I had to try it. Safe to say 2 fish tacos and 2 shrimp tacos later I agree with all the 5 star reviews. Friendly staff and amazing fish tacos. Must try

For me, hands down, they have the best shrimp and fish tacos around. 🌮👍🥳

The staff here are so friendly and helpful, they'll make you feel like you're a part of the family. And let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, the overwhelming deliciousness will have you singing praises from the rooftops (or at least from your table). I have to admit, the shrimp cocktail is a little pricey. But ... trust me, it's worth every penny. And the fish tacos? Let's just say they're the best thing to happen to my taste buds since sliced bread. The beans and rice may not be the stars of the show, but they still play an important supporting role. And with several locations throughout Southern California, El Taco Nazo is always within reach. But if you really want to experience taco nirvana, La Puente is the location to go to for sure. El Taco Nazo is the perfect place to make your day and your tummy happy. Read More
